Employment application used to apply with the
police department in both sworn and non-sworn positions. Lake Placid
Police Department is an Equal Opportunity Employer. This packet will
download to your computer when clicked. Once on your computer it can be
filled in, saved, printed, and easily and neatly presented for employment.
This format greatly expedites your background investigation since the
application is easily read by the background investigator. |

department immediately checked on the 8 registered K.I.S.S. seniors when
the temperature was forecasted to drop below 25 degrees. |

| f you are volunteering to be a Clown with Toby's Clown College fill out this form. Bring a copy of the completed for to Chief Williams at the police department (8 North Oak Avenue, Lake Placid, Fl. 33852) and bring a copy with you to the Highlands County Sheriff's Office located on Fern Avenue in Sebring along with a $5.00 bill. Additional instructions are on the form in the red square. When the form asks if you have been fingerprinted before it is referring to past qualified entities. Real Estate, Nursing, Military, Past Jobs, are not qualified entities. Qualified entities are entities registered with VECHS. The Sheriff's Office will bill the clown college $33.25 for each person fingerprinted. Payment to the clown college is your responsibility. This service is provided for your community by the Highlands County Sheriff's Office and Lake Placid Police Department to help keep your children safe.

The event must be inside the town's limits. The Chief of Police retains authority over all police activities and police must follow Lake Placid Police Guidelines when working at special events.
